Born in the 4th of March 1977, Basil Hijjawi (akaBee Bee) was taken by the classical music atmosphere and began his journey as a DJ in the UAE more specifically in Dubai where he played with so many big name DJs such as Graham Gold, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Allister WhiteHead, Dany Rampling, Brandon Block, Judge Jules, Phats & Small, Boy George, Mr. C, ATB, Paul Jackson, The Artful Dodger and Tall Paul.
When BeeBee moved back to Jordan, he first played in Barracuda Beach in Aqaba at some parties to start finding his own crowd. Then in late 2004, Bee Bee heard of the best promoter in town, which is Julian Noursi, and went to present himself and the experience he always carried on with him. She decided to attend one of his parties in Barracuda Beach where she was amazed of what she had seen so she invited him to join Distant Heat’s event for the first time in his life in summer 2004.
The sun of summer 2005 shined on Bee Bee pretty well when he finally got the opportunity to rise himself up more and more, and was asked to warm up for Armin Van Buuren at Distant Heat’s event.
In November 2006, Bee Bee left Barracuda Beach in Aqaba, got back to Amman and played in many events, like for example Andy Moor, Nick Warren, Hed Kandi, and with many other big names. He also continued showing up constantly in big Clubs names.
In summer 2007, Bee Bee was back in Jordan where he finally became the Resident DJ of Distant Heat’s event. He warmed up for the main DJs like Above & Beyond, Dave Seaman, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz, Mattew Dekay, Remy and Armada DJs, and in Distant Heat’s 2008 he warmed up for Rachael Starr, Satoshi Tomiie and Josh Gabriel.
Bee Bee has released his first album, “Destination” in summer 2008,and in march 2009 has released his second album “Floating Wave” in which Bee Bee will hopefully be able to spread around his music and his message to all the people in and out of Jordan.
