Win A Trip To Rio De Janeiro

Your trip around the world with SPIN Jordan continues. And this time, you’re getting a chance to go to Rio De Janeiro.

The Rio+20 Global Youth Music Contest (GYMC) is a global competition for young people organized on the occasion of United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20 Earth Summit) www.uncsd2012.org to be held in June 2012 in Brazil.

GYMC encourages youth to express their hopes, concerns and thoughts on future of our earth by using music. The contest aims to collect musical messages from global youth exploring global solutions for sustainable development.

The winners will be rewarded with a trip to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the Rio+20 Earth Summit in June 2012 and make the voices of global youth heard during a public performance they will give to share the message of global youth.

The global winner will be sponsored by the IAAI, and will get the chance to perform at the conference.

There is also a chance to win on a national level, and SPIN Jordan is helping pick the winner who will receive recognition from the association,  and get the chance to become part of the network, and potentially part of future events.

All you have to do to win, is post a video of yourself singing on our facebook fanpage in Arabic or English, on facebook.com/spinjordan. Then we’ll automatically take you to round 2 where we’ll help you professionally record and video tape your song concerning a local or global issue in our studios.The content of your songs need to relate to one or more of the seven critical issues (Jobs, Energy, Cities, Food, Water, Oceans, Disasters) and/or the two focus themes of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, namely green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication and the Institutional Framework for Sustainable Development.

Finally your peers and our listeners will help pick their favorite with help from our judges, and we’ll be making 1 of you win on a national level.

You should also be aware, you have the option of participating on your own globally by recording your song and directly posting it to www.global-rockstar.net

Even if you don’t win on a national level, we will be submitting all your videos to the global contest, which will be based on voting, and the decision will be made on an international level (not by SPIN Jordan). However, you will be entered as contenders for the global title.
